"I have always admired the way Chris talks to everyone, but especially clients. He is great at being truthful and upfront about what's going on while still letting you know that he cares. Basically, you'll know from the beginning what his opinion is, but he'll never make you feel bad if you don't agree." - Myah Osher

State of Oregon, Law Clerk: Mr. Bergstrom clerked in the Governor's Office of General Counsel, where he worked on a variety of public policy issues, including clemency and pardon applications.
Marion County Legal Counsel, Law Clerk: Processed and evaluated Measure 37 claims.
Christopher Bergstrom, who was born and raised in Tualatin, has strong roots in the Portland metro area and is committed to serving the people who call this area home. Mr. Bergstrom's interest in family law began with his work with domestic violence survivors through the Portland Women's Crisis Line in the fall of 2008. He has since helped many clients in and out of the courtroom.
Instilled early on with a sense of public service, Mr. Bergstrom has a
long history of being involved with his community. At age 13 he obtained
an appointment to Tualatin Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. He eventually
served as Chair of this committee and then served on Tualatin's Urban
Renewal Advisory Committee. While in high school, Mr. Bergstrom was elected to the Tualatin City Council, making him the youngest elected official in the state of Oregon. Mr. Bergstrom served as a city councilor for two consecutive four-year terms. Throughout this role, Mr. Bergstrom took pride in illustrating that youth have a vested and active role in shaping their communities.
During his tenure as a city councilor Mr. Bergstrom was involved in all aspects of municipal governance. He soon became particularly involved in how local government could sustain and expand in the area of social services. Mr. Bergstrom worked hard to bring attention to quality of life issues, making sure that all members of the community had an opportunity to be heard. He also served on several subcommittees as a council representative, ranging from urban development to cooperative library service. However, it was his work with social services that Mr. Bergstrom found most rewarding. As a member of the Washington County Commission on Children and Families he worked to strengthen countywide social service policy and represent his constituents at the regional level.
A firm believer in giving back, Mr. Bergstrom considers his volunteer experience to have been instrumental in his choice to become an attorney. As he frequently says, "The law is a service profession, one that has the ability to improve quality of life issues for both the individual and the community." Mr. Bergstrom is dedicated to serving both.
