About Our Firm

Since Osher Law Offices (now Osher & Bergstrom Law) first opened its doors, our attorneys have been committed to helping those in need. The court process is long, difficult, and complicated. Even the most intelligent people can get stuck easily without the proper guidance. And, it is often people with the most complicated legal issues who have the least resources available. In keeping with our commitment to service, our law firm strives to work with everyone, including those who cannot afford the typical high priced attorneys. Our focus is on people and families, not "bottom lines."

In addition to our firm's commitment to service, our goal is to help our clients move on with their lives. We are not motivated by hurting the other person or "getting even"; instead, we prefer putting our energy into helping you move ahead with your future. When appropriate, we advocate for collaborative law, where each party in the case agrees not to take their case to trial. The goal in collaborative law is to come to an agreement with as little judicial involvement as possible. We believe this serves all involved because it puts the parties in control of what will become of their property and, more importantly, their children. When collaborative law is not an option, we advise our clients to take advantage of mediation and other techniques to negotiate as much as possible with the opposing party, without compromising our client's needs. However, we also know that for certain situations, you have to stand up for yourself and we are here to help you do so.

While most of our practice is dedicated to divorces and custody cases, many of the clients who walk through our doors have some type of domestic violence issues. Due to the importance of helping people deal with domestic violence, and the staggering number of people affected by it, Osher Law expanded its practice to include stalking protective orders and restraining orders. (Please see our Resources and Information page for more information on these types of orders). When you are a survivor of domestic violence, you need someone who can understand what you are going through and who will support you. We believe in empowering survivors to make decisions for themselves and using the legal system to their advantage.

Please give us a call so we can discuss whether we can be of help to you.
